HUMAN-CENTRIC EXPERIENCE DESIGN
FRAMEWORK & PROCESS

Echt · adjective
/eKHt,ekt/is
borrowed from the German echt and means real, genuine, or authentic.

What is the Echt framework?
The Echt framework is a strategic user (human) experience framework that specifies concrete steps you undertake to accomplish your strategy. It relies on its partner, the TACTICAL process, to help navigate through often nonlinear and unclear spaces and ensures a resilient and sustainable outcome.

The TACTICAL Process
TACTICAL turns the often fuzzy world of experience design into more comprehensible, actionable, and measurable steps, helping your solutions - product, experience or otherwise - gain user acceptance, loyalty, and trust, as well as market adoption.
Compared to traditional user experience design, strategic user experience merges traditional principles of UX with a holistic and systems-thinking approach to solve systemic challenges, such as key business, organizational, societal, and technological problems where traditional solutions cannot deliver. It redefines how problems are approached, identifies new opportunity spaces, and supports delivery of more robust, complete, and resilient solutions, while keeping the human at the core of all decisions. It partners with many disciplines and is focused on joint efforts.

What does TACTICAL stand for?
TACTICAL is made up of two phases, Research and Design, and stands for:
Think, Act, Collaborate, Test, Iterate, Create, Activate, and Learn.
It is a highly iterative process and tests for desirability, viability, feasibility, and responsibility to hit the innovation sweet spot.
